Mifundo Taps Yapily to Widen Its Cross-Border Credit Data Platform
Mifundo, the Estonia-based credit data platform, has partnered with Yapily to bring open banking data into its cross-border credit assessment platform.
The two companies will combine enriched bank data from Yapily, a London-based open banking infrastructure provider, with Mifundo’s verified credit bureau data.
Lenders get one standardised report. It covers customers whose financial histories span multiple European countries.
Mifundo estimates that 45 million mobile Europeans have financial ties to more than one country. It puts the cross-border consumer lending market at EU€719 billion.
A customer may have credit history in one country. They may hold a bank account in another. They may apply for credit in a third. This makes it hard for a bank to see the full picture.
The platform already draws verified credit data from a network of credit bureaus and registers across Europe.
The new partnership adds Yapily’s Data Plus product. It returns categorised and enriched bank data, with the customer’s consent. Bureau history and account activity now arrive in one report.

“Mifundo brings these different data sources together across countries and standardises them into one report that banks can use in their credit assessment,”
said Kaido Saar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mifundo.

“Our Data Plus product delivers bank account information already categorised and enriched,
complementing credit bureau information and helping lenders build a more complete view of customers with financial histories across different countries,”
said Irene Brime, Director of Sales EMEA in Commercial at Yapily.
Yapily was chosen for its open banking infrastructure, its presence across Europe, and its coverage of SME and corporate accounts.
The partnership arrives ahead of CCD2, the EU’s revised Consumer Credit Directive. It applies from 20 November 2026 and bars credit discrimination based on residence.
