wefox Names Sebastian Schimurda as Switzerland Country Lead

Insurtech platform wefox has appointed Sebastian Schimurda as its new Country Lead for Switzerland, effective 1 September 2026.
He succeeds Osman Elkaz, who is leaving the company after seven years, including two years as Country Lead. Elkaz will oversee the leadership transition over the coming months.
Schimurda joins wefox from AIC Swiss AG, an independent insurance broker focused on the real estate and construction sectors, where he served as Co-founder and Managing Director.
Before co-founding AIC Swiss, he spent 12 years in various roles at Zurich Insurance Group in Switzerland.
His appointment follows wefox Switzerland’s transition into an independent insurance intermediary under Elkaz’s leadership.

said Friedrich Riddermann, Chief Market Officer of the wefox Group.
“He knows the insurance industry from the ground up and has successfully demonstrated his entrepreneurial capabilities, building long-term, trusted relationships with customers and partners.”
