ClearBank Appoints Ken Johnstone as Chief Product Officer

ClearBank has appointed Ken Johnstone as its new Chief Product Officer to oversee product strategy as the company expands across the UK and Europe.
The clearing and embedded banking provider’s appointment comes as it scales its platform capabilities, including the recent launch of digital asset rails in Europe.
Johnstone joins ClearBank’s Group Executive team with more than 20 years of experience across the fintech, banking and telecommunications sectors.
He most recently served as Chief Product Officer for NatWest Boxed and Mettle.
During his tenure at Mettle, Johnstone led the transition from an e-money proposition into a fully regulated digital bank, which grew to serve more than 150,000 UK business customers.
At NatWest Boxed, he developed a Banking-as-a-Service platform that enabled partners to develop and scale compliant financial products.
In his new role at ClearBank, Johnstone will oversee the advancement of the company’s payments, accounts and embedded banking products, supporting clients across fintech, financial services and corporate sectors.
His appointment aligns with ClearBank’s continued expansion across the UK and Europe. The company launched corporate embedded banking capabilities last year and recently introduced digital asset rails in the European market.
