Another night, another concert, this time it was Blue in Zurich, as their 25th Anniversary Tour made it to Switzerland. The British “boy band” made up of Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa, gave us songs like All Rise, One Love and Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word. A quarter of a century later, they’re still out there singing them.

Halle 622 was almost sold out, with not much missing. And as expected, the audience was mostly middle-aged women. Yes, I count myself in that category 🙂Before Blue were up, support act Saintclair took the stage. More about him in a separate post, so stay tuned!

Blue Start Out Strong With All Rise

A little after 9 pm, it was time for some teenage memories to come back up. The ladies and gents in the crowd were as excited as could be, and Blue started out strong with All Rise. Not a bad way to send a room full of grown-ups straight back to their teenage years. Behind the band, big “BLUE” letters lit up in different colors throughout the show.

Maybe A Few Too Many New Songs

If I had one complaint, it would be that there were a few too many new songs in the set. I get it, you want to promote the new stuff too. But you could feel the energy sink a little during those songs. The crowd was pretty active where I was standing, though I heard that depending on where you were in the room, it was a bit “meh.”

Some Love for Security

Mostly, though, I think the audience very much enjoyed the show. Even one of the security ladies got some love from Duncan and Simon. Check the photos for proof!

All in all, it was a great trip back to my teenage years for sure!
