Cognizant Launches EMEA AI Unit to Move Enterprise Projects to Production
Cognizant has launched its EMEA AI Unit to help companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa build, deploy and operate agentic AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
The technology services company is targeting enterprises that are struggling to move AI initiatives beyond experimentation and into production.
Operating under Cognizant’s Frontier Deployed Engineering model, the unit provides a platform-, model- and cloud-neutral approach to AI deployment.
A vendor-neutral approach enables clients to select technologies that match their operational requirements without committing to a single ecosystem.
Three service tiers support different stages of AI adoption: Foundation helps companies establish AI strategy, governance, technology selection and early prototypes; Accelerate helps organisations identify, develop and deploy high-value AI use cases; and Transform uses multi-agent engineering teams to redesign and automate end-to-end workflows.
Beyond AI implementation, the unit helps organisations address regional requirements such as data sovereignty, regulatory obligations and industry-specific operational needs.
Cognizant said its teams support clients in navigating these considerations while scaling AI deployments.
Already supporting customers across multiple sectors, Cognizant is helping a European online fashion retailer move AI applications into production through an AI Factory model.
The model aims to reduce development cycles from months to days. It also supports agentic workflows across supply chain, inventory, returns, customer experience and margin protection.
The company is also collaborating with a global pharmaceutical firm to redesign research and development processes using multi-agent systems.

“Across EMEA, many organisations are enthusiastic about AI but are still working out how to turn that momentum into real business value,”
said Manoj Mehta, President EMEA at Cognizant.
Mehta added that the unit brings together people, platforms and engineering expertise to help clients develop AI solutions that integrate into existing operations and support accountability for outcomes.
