Concert Photos: Jay Park in Zurich at The Hall, 15.10.2026

Another night, another concert, this time it was Jay Park in Zurich. I’ll be honest: K-pop is not my usual lane, and Jay Park’s catalogue is not music I know by heart. But that’s exactly what made this one interesting. Sometimes the best nights are the ones you walk into with no expectations at all.
For anyone who somehow hasn’t crossed paths with him yet: Jay Park is a Korean-American singer, rapper, dancer and all-round entertainer who has been part of the scene since the mid-2000s. That long career is worth keeping in mind, because it became the running theme of the whole evening.
LNGSHOT Kick Things Off in Zurich
First up was LNGSHOT, and the room was already loud before they even hit their first note. Fans were incredibly excited, and the anticipation in the room was honestly something else. I’ve always known K-pop fans are on another level — in the best way possible — but this show really showed me another side of this fandom and community. It wasn’t just screaming. It was people who had traveled, queued, dressed up, made signs and clearly waited a long time for this night.

No Break, No Waiting: Jay Park Takes Over Immediately
One thing I really have to mention, because it genuinely surprised me: there was no actual break and no stage changeover. LNGSHOT finished their set and Jay Park was pretty much immediately on stage. No long wait, no crew wandering around moving gear while everyone gets restless. Just straight into it — and I wish more shows did it this way. It keeps the energy exactly where it should be (obviously that is only possible if there’s no actual stage setups or instruments to get ready etc).
It also started with confetti, so it was a proper big bang from the very first second. The fans’ energy in the room exploded again, and whatever had been building during the opening set just doubled.
A Simple Stage and a Very Loud Room
Jay Park came out in an elegant suit and sunglasses, and he looked exactly like someone who has been doing this for two decades and knows it. The stage setup was refreshingly simple — just a huge screen in the back and a DJ setup in the middle of the stage toward the back. No giant production, no over-the-top props. It let the performance itself carry the night, and it worked.
The energy on stage and in the crowd was super high the entire time. And while I personally didn’t really know any of the original songs, I genuinely enjoyed the night. Seeing fans so emotional and happy always makes me happy too, and there was a lot of that going around.
Watching the Show from the Crowd
After shooting the show from the pit, I got to watch the rest of it from the crowd, and that turned out to be the best decision of the night. Even at the back, there were so many fans just enjoying themselves. Some stood in total silence with a big smile on their face. Others were jumping around and singing along at the top of their lungs. It was cute to see, and genuinely heartwarming.
The best part? There didn’t seem to be any judgment about how people were experiencing the show. Nobody was side-eyeing the person crying, or the person standing still, or the person screaming their head off. Everyone was just allowed to enjoy it however they wanted. I find that super refreshing, and honestly, a lot of other crowds could learn from it.
I also felt like the audience was super young — which was funny, especially since Jay Park himself has been around for so long.
“My Career Is Older Than Some of You Guys”
That brings me to my favorite moment of the night. At some point he said, “my career is older than some of you guys in the audience” — and I had to chuckle, because he wasn’t wrong.
From there, he went on to tease some of the songs he grew up with, which landed right in my lane since I’m only a bit older than him. It started out with *NSYNC (eeeeek, I love those guys!) before he moved on to Boyz II Men. And here’s the part that surprised me: it felt like NOBODY in that room knew “I’ll Make Love to You.” I mean, that’s such a banger. I was standing there thinking, really? Nobody? Then he went into Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way,” and suddenly literally everyone in the building was belting out the words at full volume. Apparently that one crossed every generation in the room.
It was a very entertaining show, and I really enjoyed myself. Watching all those happy faces was the highlight for me.
See You Next Time, Zurich
The screaming, I have to say, might have been a bit much at times. But I guess when excitement hits, it just happens to some people. No hard feelings.
Anyway — thanks to the Jay Park and LNGSHOT teams for having me. It was an experience for sure, and I would absolutely be back if they come to Switzerland again.
