Relai Hits US$90M Valuation as New Investors Join US$2.5M Round

Swiss Bitcoin app Relai has closed its latest funding round, raising US$2.5 million at a valuation of US$90 million.

The company plans to use the capital to improve its app, strengthen its AI and cybersecurity capabilities, and expand further in the European Union.

The Relai funding round brought in two new backers, Swiss finance influencer Fabio Marchesin, known as FinanzFabio, and German author Marc Friedrich. Existing venture capital investors also took part.

Both investors used Relai’s app for years before investing. Marchesin, one of the company’s first customers, will advise on marketing and on how Relai positions itself as a financial company in Switzerland and Europe.

Friedrich has used the app since 2022 and has recommended it in his books and videos, as well as on the Relai Bitcoin Podcast. He will advise the company on building its brand in Germany.

“What I’m most pleased about with this round is seeing that Relai can attract significant sums from well-known investors despite the Bitcoin bear market,”

said Julian Liniger, Co-Founder and CEO of Relai.

Relai plans to add new features to its Bitcoin savings plans by the end of the year. It will also launch a redesigned version of its app.

The company said existing accounts, savings plans and holdings will stay the same.

Relai runs its European business through its French subsidiary, Relai EU SASU.

The unit received a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) licence from the AMF, France’s financial markets regulator, in October 2025. The licence lets Relai offer its services across the EU.

Swiss customers are served by Relai AG, which operates as a financial intermediary. The company is affiliated with VQF, a Swiss self-regulatory organisation.
