Revolut CEO Sets Sights on US Markets for Any Future IPO
Revolut founder and CEO Nik Storonsky wants the US to be the primary listing venue for the digital bank if it goes public, according to Bloomberg.
Speaking to Bloomberg TV, he said the US had always been the goal because of the depth of liquidity in its markets.
Storonsky also outlined Revolut’s product plans for the US. Once it gets full approval for its bank charter, the firm intends to introduce loans and credit cards.
He said these would be comparable to those of American Express and JPMorgan Chase.
The charter is still pending. In September, the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency gave Revolut a conditional green light to become a national bank.
According to Bloomberg, a final charter would in time let Revolut take insured deposits and connect directly to the Federal Reserve’s payment network.
Separately, Revolut announced plans earlier this week to invest nearly S$350 million in Singapore over the next five years.
