Sygnum Brings Crypto Services to Nu Global Users
Sygnum and Nu, the largest digital bank in Latin America, are partnering to launch crypto services through Nu Global.
Nu currently serves more than 140 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, and will now extend into Switzerland and other international markets.
Nu Global is a new high-yield account that holds several currencies. It offers fast, free transfers to more than 35 countries.
Sygnum will handle crypto conversion, trading, stablecoins and custody for Nu Global users. A Swiss bank guarantee from Sygnum covers their assets, under Swiss rules.
Nu Global runs on Sygnum’s bank-to-bank platform, which already reaches more than a third of the Swiss population through partner banks.
Sygnum’s systems now link directly into Nu Global. This lets Nu offer crypto services to clients in Switzerland and beyond.
Nu Global users can buy, hold and trade a range of crypto coins and stablecoins. They can also move freely between cash and crypto.
Sygnum’s custody setup protects these assets with security checks, oversight and outside audits.
Nu Global is a Swiss unit of Nu Holdings. It runs the Nu Global product. Sygnum expects its bank platform to become one of Europe’s largest crypto bank networks by 2027.

“Nu Global’s decision to partner with Sygnum reflects our platform’s ability to support digital asset services at global scale,”
said Fritz Jost, Chief B2B Officer at Sygnum.

“Nu Global’s launch marks a next step in bringing our approach to new audiences,”
said Thomaz Fortes, GM of Nu Global.
